APC Supporters Injured As Buses Crash In Lafia En Route To North-Central Mega Rally For Tinubu

Several supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC, sustained injuries on Saturday, October 10, 2026, following a road accident involving two buses conveying them to a political rally in Lafia, Nasarawa State.

According to reports, the victims are loyalists of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Senator George Akume. The buses were heading to the venue of the APC North-Central mega rally organized in support of President Bola Tinubu’s second-term ambition.

The incident was confirmed by Dan-Morgan Ihomun, spokesperson for Akume’s APC camp in Benue State. He disclosed that some party supporters were injured in the crash and were immediately taken to the hospital for medical attention.

He clarified that no death was recorded in the accident.

Yes, two vehicles carrying supporters of our party, APC, on their way to the venue of the North-Central mega rally today in Lafia were involved in an accident. Some were injured and taken to hospital for treatment. Nobody died, and we thank God for that, Ihomun said.

The North-Central mega rally has drawn APC supporters from across the zone to Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital. Party members and supporters were said to have started arriving in Lafia on Friday ahead of the Saturday event.

The rally is part of mobilization efforts for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
