Fidelity Bank Honours Beauty Excellence, Reaffirms Commitment To Women Entrepreneurs At Motherland 2026 Awards
Fidelity Bank Plc has restated its commitment to the growth of Nigeria’s beauty and lifestyle sector as it joined industry leaders to honour outstanding entrepreneurs at the Beauty in the Motherland 2026 commemorative dinner and awards night.
The prestigious event took place on October 6, 2026 at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, marking the climax of a three-day beauty fair that drew over 3,000 visitors and more than 300 exhibitors across skincare, haircare, makeup, fragrance, wellness and lifestyle categories.
The evening, anchored by media personalities Nancy Isime and Enioluwa Adeoluwa, brought together beauty founders, investors, creatives, content creators and key players in the enterprise ecosystem, with a headline performance by Afropop star Yemi Alade.
A major highlight of the night was the special recognition award presented to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Fidelity Bank, Dr Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, for her exemplary leadership and the bank’s consistent investment in the beauty enterprise value chain.
According to the organisers, the award was in recognition of Fidelity Bank’s role in sustaining Beauty in the Motherland over the years and its broader impact in empowering beauty businesses in Nigeria.
Speaking after receiving the award, Dr Onyeali-Ikpe said Fidelity Bank’s decision to sponsor the platform for three consecutive years was driven by its belief in the huge potential of the African beauty industry and the resilience of the entrepreneurs driving it.
She noted that the African beauty sector has become vibrant, innovative and globally competitive, adding that the bank remains committed to equipping entrepreneurs with access to finance, knowledge, markets and the right tools to scale sustainably.
The recognition underscores Fidelity Bank’s growing influence in a sector largely led by women and young entrepreneurs, who continue to create jobs and drive innovation across the country.
As official banking and payments partner, Fidelity Bank did not only sponsor the event but also provided on-site business support. The bank served as the exclusive point-of-sale provider for all exhibitors, enabling seamless collections and driving adoption of digital payments.
Its team showcased tailored offerings including Fidelity POS with Instant Settlement, PayGate Plus, and SME accounts, while engaging vendors on financial planning, business growth strategies and access to credit.
Beauty in the Motherland 2026, convened by Beatrice Obinna Eneh and Linda Edozien, featured exhibitions, masterclasses, product launches, pitch competitions and high-level networking sessions aimed at connecting beauty founders with customers, distributors, retail partners and investors.
The conveners said the platform was created to celebrate Africa’s natural and human resources in beauty, while building stronger structures that will help entrepreneurs thrive, scale and access new markets.
Fidelity Bank continues to support small and medium scale enterprises through dedicated platforms such as the Fidelity SME Hub, Fidelity Quarterly Business Forum, SME masterclasses, HerFidelity and FundHer proposition for women-led businesses, offering financing, capacity building, advisory and market linkage support.
The successful hosting of the 2026 dinner and awards has once again highlighted the need to celebrate the people and institutions shaping the future of Africa’s booming beauty industry, with Fidelity Bank positioning itself as a key partner in that journey.
