58 Nigerians are dead from Coronavirus, as pandemic spreads
No fewer than 58 Nigerians have died from the deadly Coronavirus, as the pandemic spreads unabated in 34 States.
Lagos, the epicentre of the virus, recorded 21 of the deaths, while Borno, with six deaths is next in line, with Sokoto having four deaths, while FCT, Kano, Edo and Osun have three deaths each, among others.
Nigeria’s Coronavirus cases keep rising, with 204 Nigerians infected on Thursday, which is the highest for the nation in a single day, according to tally from the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.
The nation now has 1,932 confirmed cases of Coronavirus as at Thursday, with 319 survivors discharged.
By the end of Friday, the nation may hit 2,000 cases if it ramps up 68 new infections.
So far, Nigeria has carried out 12,828 tests, of which 1,932 were coronavirus positive.
In the coming days, attention will be paid to Kano, as huge figures have started emerging from the ancient city.
On Thursday, Kano recorded an all high single day coronavirus infections of 80, taking its overall total to 219 in 19 days.
