National Safety Award 2020 Nomination Excites HSE Professionals

As the nomination for the National Safety Awards 2020 hots up, Health, Safety, Security and Environment experts have expressed excitement with the impeccable timing of the awards, describing it as the once in a lifetime victory honours against a global pandemic.
The National Spokesman of Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria,(ISPON) in a chat with National Safety TV retierated the need for the organizers to use the opportunity to harp on the importance of health and safety as a key component for economic growth and well-being. “The pandemic is a health and safety challenge, which should activate HSE development policy plan in our decision making process as a government, organization and individual”.
In the same vein, another Safety expert in Port Harcourt, Dr. Bara Kabaka Brown is confident that the criteria for this unique honours captured the Care Givers who responded to this unprecedented period of global health challenge.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the organising committee and the President, Media Centre for Safety Reporting (MCSR), John Thompson confirmed that the nomination which opened in August 24, will be closing at midnight October 15, 2020.
He affirmed that the Safety Webinar Conference scheduled for October 16, will feature the unveiling of nominees in the 15 structured categories of the award.
