AS the 2023 presidential election draws closer, posters of former president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, bearing the logo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have been spotted in some major cities in the North.
It was gathered that the posters of Jonathan dominated the famous Abaraba Street, Onitsha Street and Burma Road-all in Sabon Gari area of Kano State.
Also in Gombe town, the posters of the former number one citizen were spotted around Rainbow roundabout and the Federal College of Education (Technical) in the state capital.
Similarly, posters of the former president adorned most of the public and private buildings in Wuse II area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, especially around the Blantyre street where the national secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is located.
At the party’s secretariat, posters of the former Nigerian leader with the inscription “Goodluck Jonathan You Must Run”, was also spotted.
Prestige News gathered that the other cities where posters of the former president were spotted include Lafia, Keffi and Akwanga in Nasarawa State.
Furthermore, in Minna, the Niger State capital, women and youths organised holding the posters of the former president urging him to contest the presidential election.
Last week, hundreds of youths stormed his residence in Abuja calling on him to run for the presidency in 2023.
In his response, the former president told the youths to participate more actively in politics and always look out for leaders that will carry the youths along.
