Speaking on the event, Group Chief Executive Officer of GTCO Plc, Mr Segun Agbaje said fashion is a powerful expression of creativity and culture and also an important driver of enterprise and economic opportunity.
He said over the past nine years, GTCO Fashion Weekend has become a platform where talent is discovered, knowledge is shared and businesses are connected to new markets.
Agbaje announced that this year the Group is introducing the GTCO Fashion Collective, a year-round platform that will connect designers, models, stylists, photographers, editors, buyers, content creators and the wider creative community beyond the Fashion Weekend.
He said the Fashion Collective is focused on shining a light on the people and businesses that power Africa’s fashion ecosystem by creating more opportunities for entrepreneurs to showcase their work, connect with customers and build sustainable businesses.
Since its inception, GTCO Fashion Weekend has grown into one of Africa’s leading consumer-focused fashion and enterprise platforms, bringing together designers, retailers, creatives, entrepreneurs and fashion enthusiasts.
