Access Holdings to Lead Africa Capital Mobilisation Drive at AFIS 2026 in Angola
Access Holdings Plc has announced that it will champion the agenda for mobilising capital for Africa’s economic growth at the Africa Financial Summit, AFIS 2026, holding in Luanda, Angola, on November 3 and 4, 2026.
The Group said it will use the summit to advance discussions on how African financial institutions can convert scale into sustainable economic value for the continent.
Access Holdings will participate as Diamond Sponsor alongside its flagship subsidiary, Access Bank Plc.
According to the Group, the focus in Luanda will be on how to mobilise more capital for productive investment, deepen regional trade and financial integration, and expand access to finance for businesses and households across Africa.
The delegation will be led by the Chairman of Access Holdings Plc, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, alongside the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank Plc, Roosevelt Ogbonna, and the Executive Director, African Subsidiaries, Access Bank Plc, Seyi Kumapayi.
The Group said the conversation goes beyond the growth of individual banks. It is about how African institutions can leverage their reach, capabilities and partnerships to address financing needs and create sustainable value for businesses, economies, communities and shareholders.
Access Holdings noted that Africa’s opportunity is huge, but realising it will require financial institutions with scale, capability and partnerships to mobilise capital effectively and direct it to productive sectors. Scale, it said, is not an end in itself, its value lies in what it enables institutions to deliver.
Having built a significant pan-African footprint through Access Bank, the Group said its priority now is translating that scale into value by connecting markets, supporting enterprise, facilitating regional commerce and widening access to financial services.
At AFIS 2026, Access Holdings will share perspectives from its operations across African markets, focusing on mobilising domestic capital, strengthening regional trade and payments integration, broadening financial inclusion and using digital platforms to reach underserved businesses and households.
Commenting on the participation, Roosevelt Ogbonna, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank Plc, said businesses need finance that moves across borders as easily as their ambitions do, adding that Access Bank is turning its pan-African scale into real value by connecting markets, supporting enterprise and widening access to financial services.
Co-hosted by the International Finance Corporation and Jeune Afrique Media Group, AFIS 2026 will bring together over 1,250 African and global financial leaders and regulators.
The summit is themed Making Capital Count: Unlocking Growth Through African Finance, and will examine how to mobilise private investment, channel finance to the real economy, turn African savings into African investments and deepen regional integration.
Access Holdings said it will advocate stronger collaboration among financial institutions, governments, regulators, investors and the private sector to build Africa’s financial capacity.
Updates from the summit will be shared through official channels of Access Holdings and Access Bank using hashtag AFIS2026.
